Culture presents a unique time meaning that definitely differentiates itself from others in different time periods; moreover, each development stage of cultural history is interconnected and inalienable. The records in the past wisdom of the ancient people and history are the main factors that help people accumulate knowledge and evolve. 

    A comprehensive presentation of the development of an ethnic group has great influence on the generations to come. In particular, “Hakka Cultural Museum” functions to connect the bits and pieces greatly contributes to the future development of Taiwan and the Hakka people.

The reclamation of the Taipei Basin began with people from Jhangjhou and the Hakka. While Taipei area has evolved gradually into a metropolitan place, New Taipei City has the largest number of Hakka immigrants. In order to cohere the Hakka in New Taipei City and to help the general public know the Hakka culture, New Taipei City Government established particularly New Taipei City Hakka Museum in Sansia.

  In addition to preserving the traditional Hakka culture, the Hakka Museum has made itself vivid with grand views, the overall planning, layout, and activity designs. New Taipei City Hakka Museum has been operated under the theme of “metropolitan Hakka” and the core value of “cultural innovation.” New Taipei City Hakka Museum also conducts research, preserves, and popularizes Hakka culture. The Museum is used for both meetings and leisure. It has an Art Gallery, a presentation room, a learning center, a conference room, a square, a regular exhibition room, an artistic corridor, a family reading room, a performance hall, and a restaurant. 

 
 

Transportation

Bus:

Take Taipei Bus Route 917(Yongning Station reachable), 702(Ximen Station reachable), 851(available on weekdays), Taoyuan bus, Sansia-Yingge bus(Yongning Station reachable), get off at Hakka Museum stop (or Sanying Bridge stop).

MRT:

Get off at Yongning Station (Blue Line). Transit to Taipei Bus Route 916, 922 or 940.

Get off at Fuzhong Station (Blue Line). Transit to Taipei Bus Route 910 or 932.

Get off at Jingan Station (Orange Line). Transit to Taipei Bus Route 908 or 921.

Get off at Qizhang Station (Green Line). Transit to Taipei Bus Route 941.

Ps: Please get off at En Chu Kong Hospital, then walk for about 10 minutes to the Museum.

TRAINS:

Get off at Yingge Station, and transit to bus routes listed above.

Car:

Get off of National Highway #3 at Sanying Interchange (heading towards Yingge), Free parking available.

The Center CourtyardRepresenting the typical Hakka farmer courtyard, this central area provided a place to do everything: work, play, or have weddings, funerals and ceremonies. It's a multi-function public space, great for families.

Performance Hall

Performance HallIt has a capacity of 366 people. Outstanding artistic groups are invited to have performance on weekends.
